The scope of this recall encompasses approximately 40 retail locations across several U.S. states, including Arizona, Louisiana, Nevada, New Mexico, and Texas. Consumers should note that some of the recalled Topo Chico mineral water was sold in 18-packs at select Costco warehouses in Texas and Louisiana, specifically between May 20 and May 29. Additionally, certain Sam’s Club locations also distributed the potentially contaminated products.

Pseudomonas bacteria can naturally occur in various water sources, including mineral water. While the health risks for individuals with robust immune systems are considered very low, consumption of water containing Pseudomonas aeruginosa may lead to minor health consequences for those with compromised immune systems. Fortunately, the company has reported no illnesses linked to this recall thus far.
